What is The Uprising Generation?

The Uprising Generation is South Hills Evangelical Church’s way of doing youth group. The way we see it, we all have different strengths, talents and abilities that are best celebrated and grown in a group setting rather than in segregation. The Uprising Generation is a group for Junior High, High School and College students (our strictly college ministry is Axis) to come and have fellowship with God and with one another.

The Uprising Generations is about mobilizing the body of Christ to lead an authentic battle cry into this Generation. We try to achieve this by using the three prong approach of: KNOW-building a solid understanding on the fundamentals of Christianity, GROW-promoting sincerity in pursuing a true growing relationship with Christ, and finally GO-the act of putting a Bible based, Christ-following individual into the active ministry of their day to day life.

There are a few ways to get plugged into The Uprising Generation.

1Wednesday Night. These services include worship, a message and age appropriate discussion groups. Times: 7-8:30pm every Wednesday

2 Friday Night Hangouts. These happen every other Friday and are open for ages Jr. High and up. There is no message, but it is an opportunity to build relationships in a Christ centered atmosphere. Times: 7-10pm every other Friday (schedule to the right under current events)

3The Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club is a sermon based small group for high schoolers.

Youth Internship Application:

We are looking for an intern to work with our youth pastor 6-8 hours a week, Wednesday 3-7pm and Friday 3-7pm. Internship responsibilities will include: Administration, Planing, Preparation, Facilitation of youth events.To apply talk to Tyler or download the application here.
